Beyond CBT and Talking Therapy: What If You’re Ready for a Different Kind of Support?

For those who feel self-aware but stuck, Intuitive Psychology Coaching offers a powerful alternative to traditional talking therapies.

By working with the unconscious mind in a safe, embodied way, it helps clients move beyond insight into lasting change.

Beyond CBT and Talking Therapy

What if talking about it isn’t enough for those wanting to address the root of their challenges?

Talking therapies have long been a lifeline. From CBT to counselling, many of us have turned to these services in times of anxiety, burnout, grief, or overwhelm.

But with waiting lists at an all-time high, is there an alternative to talking therapies for those without mental health diagnoses, who want to address the challenges they are facing and go deeper?

When Insight Doesn’t Lead to Change

You might already understand your patterns, maybe you have had talking therapies or coaching. You can explain your past, are familiar with the narratives you carry, and you are very much aware of your self-sabotaging habits.

But despite all that insight, something still feels stuck.

This is a common theme in my coaching work. I hear things like:

"I've had years of therapy, and you unlocked what was really going on in just one hour."

"Talking never got me this deep. I finally feel like something's shifted."

So what’s different about Intuitive Psychology Coaching?

One of the unique aspects of Intuitive Psychology Coaching is its ability to work with the unconscious mind. Through eyes-closed coaching, and nervous system regulation, we create a safe internal space that helps clients connect to their deepest self, often reaching layers that can be harder to access in typical eyes-open, talk-based settings.

This inward focus and anchoring of safety in the body allows the subconscious to guide the process, leading to breakthroughs that feel embodied, not just understood.

Through eyes-closed coaching, parts work, nervous system awareness, and intuitive tools, we bypass the endless analysis, challenge the long-held narratives, and access what your system already knows.

It’s not about fixing. It’s about remembering.

Coaching vs Therapy or Counselling

There are valuable differences between coaching, counselling, and other talking therapies like CBT and psychotherapy.

Therapy and counselling are designed to support mental health challenges, often working with past trauma, emotional distress, or clinical diagnoses. These practitioners are trained to treat and diagnose, sometimes alongside medication or formal care plans. These are critical interventions for those who are dealing with major trauma of mental health diagnoses that are hindering their daily lives.

Coaching, by contrast, is for those who want to overcome challenges so they can embrace a brighter future. Coaching is a collaborative approach between the coach and the client and it supports clients to work toward goals, overcome challenges, and unlock deeper self-understanding. And while we sometimes reflect on past experiences, and often visit the narratives, the emphasis is on using those deeper insights to get to the real root of the issue in order to empower a client's present and future - not to treat a mental health condition.

A good coach knows when to refer clients to other professionals, especially if someone is struggling to function day-to-day. But for high-achieving, self-aware individuals who feel stuck, intuitive psychology coaching can offer profound shifts.

It is based on science-backed techniques, going beyond what most talking therapies offer and getting deep into the unconscious programmes that are hindering growth and fulfilment.

Who is this work for?

This isn’t a replacement for therapy. And it’s not for acute mental health support. But it is for you if:
  • You’re self-aware but stuck

  • You’re ready to release old emotional patterns

  • You want to reconnect with your own inner wisdom

  • You crave authentic change, not just more coping tools

  • You’re seeking someone highly trained and accredited to hold space for deep transformation

Tools to Get Started

If you're curious about what this could look like for you, here are some starting points:

You don’t need to talk about it forever.
You don’t need to go it alone either.

Sometimes the next step isn’t more analysis, it’s about going deeper, gently.

And you don’t have to wait until things get worse to start.
